"I've nothing but admiration for people who have no other option than to use a chair on a daily basis.  I'm glad I had the opportunity to gain a small insight into their challenges even if only for one day." Mark Bowman, Cube Studios Ltd

Empathy.  We think it's important.  That's why we've been inspired by the people we meet who are living with a spinal cord injury to ask you to raise money for Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research.

By taking part at work, school or home, you will be able to reflect on what life is like for the 40,000 people living with spinal cord injury in the UK today.

Taking part is easy...

We'll take care of logistics thanks to our mobility  partner, Gerald Simonds - all you have to do is set a date and ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you.  Or better yet, get them to join in too! Your support will help us fund vital research to improve life after paralysis for people with spinal cord injury.

Don't worry if your office or home has its limitations.  We're not looking for perfect access - instead we're hoping you can do what you can to empathise with wheelchair users as you go about your daily activities.

We'll provide you with T-shirts and all the fundraising materials you'll need to make your day a success.
