This year, do more in '24 and take part in our 24in24 fundraising campaign!

You choose your challenge, whether it's getting sponsored to do something for 24 minutes a day or 24 hours over a month, or simply donating £24 (that's just £2 a month!) and support our life changing research into the health complications of spinal cord injury (SCI).

Or are you (or your business) celebrating turning 24 in 2024? Then why not set up a birthday fundraiser on Facebook or Instagram in lieu of presents!

Whatever you decide to do will raise vital funds to help the 100,000 people in the UK living with SCI.

How to get involved

Each month we will be posting different tips for inspiration on how to have fun, get fit, or try something new whilst fundraising - and if these aren't for you, then check out our other fundraising ideas!

Take on a FUNdraising challenge this summer!

Take a look at this month’s ideas to find inspiration for great fundraising activities to organise throughout the month of July!

July is all about world famous sporting events so the perfect excuse to get together with family, friends or local community groups and fundraise whilst enjoying watching all the action!

Why not plan a picnic, BBQ or afternoon tea with donations from ticket sales and a raffle or tombola to boost your fundraising?

  • With the Euro 2024 championships reaching the final stages this month, get your company or school to run a sweepstake. Entrants draw a team in return for a £2 donation to raise funds.

  • Or if tennis is your thing, then do the above for players competing in the Wimbledon championships (1st-14th) or organise an afternoon tea to watch some exciting rallies whilst enjoying a glass of Pimms and indulging in some strawberries and cream!

  • July is also the month for the infamous school sports day (!) so you could organise a fun day in your local park with friends recreating all the childhood races, including the relay, 3-legged and egg & spoon races. You could also include a tug of war (adults vs children!) or design an obstacle course for everyone to try.

  • British Grand Prix (5-7th) - create your own version of the Grand Prix by arranging a fun go-karting day for family and friends or work colleagues. Encourage teams to enter and compete against each other for the winner’s trophy whilst raising vital funds to support those living with SCI.

  • Calling all chocolate lovers (!), World Chocolate Day is celebrated on July 7th honouring the introduction of chocolate to Europe in the 16th century and is dedicated to indulging in everything chocolate! To mark this global celebration (!), why not share your passion and organise a chocolate-themed bake sale or tuck shop….who doesn’t love a chocolate brownie, cookie or muffin!

  • Gardening services - offer your time and gardening skills to mow lawns and weed your neighbours or families flower beds! See if you can recruit 24 customers throughout the month to boost your fundraising!

  • Summer clear out - why not have a good declutter of all those clothes and unwanted items lying around the house. You can then sell them at a local car boot sale and donate the proceeds to your fundraising. Or get together with your friends and host a clothes exchange. Everyone donates a set amount to come along, bring their unwanted clothing and swap them for something they love instead!

  • Give it up - give up something you love for the month of July and get your friends and family to sponsor you! Or you could choose to personally donate what you would have normally spent on your favourite tipple or treat throughout the month. If you can't manage the whole month, then why not aim for 24 days to tie in with our 24in24 campaign!
