We were delighted to be invited to the Urenco Global offices with our Ambassadors, to deliver a presentation and Q&A, focussing on spinal cord injury and its impact on the SCI community during their Safety Week.

Urenco staff also took on our Wheels at Work challenge.

Commenting on the awareness event, Rosie Salkeld, Urenco Social Impact Lead, said:  "As part of our social impact programme, Urenco is keen to make a difference in our local communities. Your (SMSR) visit during our Safety Week built on recent discussions we had during last month’s All Hands colleague meeting, which encouraged us to think about the requirements of all our visitors to ensure they are treated respectfully with appropriate safety measures in place from the outset particularly around PEEP considerations. Your ambassadors were inspiring, knowledgeable and relatable – it was a privilege to hear about their experiences, the work your organisation does and the difference research can make to improve the quality of life for people after SCI. Thank you all.”
