Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research (SMSR) was delighted to be taking part in the 2023 European NeuroConvention at the Birmingham NEC, joining other exhibitors and delegates working in neurology and neuroscience and showcasing the latest in assistive technology.

SMSR Speakers Trustee Nigel Henderson and Ambassador Ralph Charlwood delivered their talks to a packed audience who learnt about Ralph's personal insights into living with spinal cord injury (SCI) and why research is so important for the SCI community.

Researchers Sarah Knight and Alex Alamri also spoke at the event and gave an overview of their current SMSR-funded projects; a Feasibility study of Intra-vesical Gentamicin in the Prevention of Recurrent UTIs in People with SCI (FIGS) and Cingulotomy for Refractory Neuropathic Pain in Spinal Cord Injury.
