On Thursday 27th April, we hosted our second fish and chip patient evening. We were delighted to welcome over 60 guests (patients, families, ambassadors, and staff) to another successful event held in Cafe Oasis in the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

Guests were able to listen to an insightful talk from Trustee, Nigel Henderson (former Clinical Director of the NSIC), before taking part in a panel discussion with our charity ambassadors with lived experience of spinal cord injury, Kat Panagaki and Ralph Charlwood. The audience were invited to pose questions to the panel who were incredibly open and honest in sharing their advice, top tips, and invaluable words of wisdom, providing them with the opportunity to learn more about day-to-day living with spinal cord injury and some of the associated health complications that can impact quality of life and wellbeing.

We are very grateful to our brilliant sponsor Stewarts without whom we could not have hosted the event, as well as the support of NSIC staff, and of course our ambassadors.

Thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to hosting the next event in July.
