There are around 50,000 people living in the UK with a spinal cord injury, many of whom experience associated complications. SMSR provides grants to spinal cord injury researchers focusing on these priority areas affecting quality of life: urinary tract infection, neuropathic pain, pressure ulcers and assistive tech for upper limb function. It is hoped that this research will lead to new treatments and therapies in the future. To find out more about their latest exciting projects, visit their website: www.lifeafterparalysis.com.
