Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) research can dramatically improve the well-being and quality of life for every person living with paralysis.

Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research provides research grants to support research projects in priority areas, each of which affects the quality of life of people living with SCI:

  • Urinary Tract Infection
  • Pressure Sores
  • Neuropathic Pain
  • Assistive Technology Primarily for Upper Limb Function

We hope that that this research leads to new treatments and therapies, deepening of understanding, and dissemination of best practice in these key areas that affect quality of life of people living with SCI.
